This article explains how to register a domain and order hosting.
The first thing you need to do is check the availability of the domain you wish to register. You can do so by visiting Zen Hosting’s Domain Checker web page (https://www.zenhosting.com.au/domainchecker.php), ticking the checkboxes of the domain extensions you want to search, and then clicking the Search button. If the domain name is available and you want to secure it, click the Order Now button.
You’ll be able to add hosting to your order by clicking [No Hosting! Click to Add]. Click the Order Now button adjacent to the hosting package you wish to order.
On the Product Configuration page, select the Use a domain already in my shopping cart check box, then choose the domain in the drop down menu.
Click the Click to Continue button to continue the checkout process.
You’ll be able to select if you want to add a static IP to your order.
Most customers purchase a static IP because a dedicated SSL certificate requires one. To put it simply, a static IP is a fixed address for your website. Please read this short article if you want to learn more about dedicated SSL certificates.
Also, If you’re registering a second-level Australian domain name such as a .com.au, .net.au, .asn. au or id.au address, you’ll be prompted for your business’ information, including an ABN or ACN number.
You’ll then proceed to checkout, where you can finalise your order. You’ll be forwarded to PayPal’s website to make a payment.
Please note: You must choose PayPal to pay by credit card.
Registration is immediate. On completion, you’ll receive confirmation emails from Zen Hosting. The most important is titled Hosting Account Welcome Email. In it, you’ll find all the information you need to be able to access your control panel (cPanel) to manage the website you’re hosting.
You’ll also be sent an email titled Domain Registration Confirmation, which will inform you when the domain is due to expire and will provide you with a link to manage your domain.
Please read this page to find out how to manage your domain.
Also, you may find this page helpful because it tells you how to login into your cPanel account.
